Getting Scrappy Workshop

The campaign along with Cedar County Economic Development Commission is excited to be offering “Get Scrappy” social media marketing workshop on June 18th at 10:30 am at ISU Outreach and Extension for all area business and community groups. This program will be lead by Nick Westergaard, Chief Brand Strategist at Brand Driven Digital where he helps build better brands at organizations of all sizes. This sought after speaker and writer will help attendees get real impact from the time they put toward their social media efforts. “Increasingly local businesses and groups are using media like Facebook and Instagram to promote and communicate with their clients,” said Rod Ness CCEDCO Executive Director, “but then the challenge is to do it effectively in a way that will get the best return for their efforts.”

Along with gaining new insights to building a strong brand message though social media, the first 25 registered attendees will receive Mr. Westergaard’s new book “Get Scrappy.” The book expands upon the foundation that he will present at the workshop - a reliable, repeatable system for reinventing your marketing as marketing reinvents itself. This information will feature frameworks, hacks, tips, idea starters, and more to take your digital marketing from good to great. “The challenge of social media is that we now are being inundated by marketing messages like never before” says Ness, “but organizations of all sizes can stretch their digital marketing reach and clarify their message to successfully achieve strategic goals. Nick will help attendees to rise about all of the digital noise.”

The workshop is free to any individual, business or organization within the partnering communities of CCEDCO. This is being presented in partnership with the East Central Intergovernmental Association (ECIA) and the campaign who's mission is to celebrating the best in life that Cedar County offers.
